Maintenance Supervisor

Maintenance Supervisor This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and significant knowledge and experience in manufacturing maintenance and a thorough knowledge of production equipment and manufacturing processes.
A Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration or related fields is preferred.
Three plus years of experience supervising skilled trades' workers is required.
Must have knowledge in PLC and robotics, machine electric and mechanics, schematics and drawing reading, pneumatics, instrumentation, electric drives, and plant power systems.
Must be familiar with principles of TPM and the tools to reduce unscheduled production downtime.
Computer proficiency is necessary.

This position is responsible to supervise a team of General Maintenance Mechanics and Maintenance Technicians in an effective and efficient manner to provide maintenance service to eliminate production downtime, protect plant assets and operate in a safe and healthful manner.
Direct and supervise the staff of General Maintenance Mechanics (GMM's), Maintenance Techs and Maintenance Laborers, which involves direct and indirect responsibilities for interviewing, selection, training, motivating, performance evaluations, and assignments, within budget, with quality and on schedule.
Maintain an up-to-date basic knowledge of all plant equipment and processes, maintains basic knowledge of all programming languages, software, protocols, etc.
used with the various PLC's, servo systems, motor drives, robots, and equipment controllers.
Recommend spare parts, instrumentation, and supplies, etc.
as necessary; recommends stores additions and reductions to maintain proper inventory of parts and supplies used in specific areas of accountability.
Accomplish established PMs and coordinate regular TPMs for area of responsibility.
Repair equipment in a timely manner when breakdowns occur; investigates equipment development problems and proposes solutions, initiates approved solutions.
Ensure the safety of all staff; ensures that all staff attends and participates in all relevant safety and training; fix potential safety hazards.
Complete work orders for general maintenance jobs (e.
g.
building upkeep).
Respond to emergency situations.
